TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1

PICKUPS

On your first morning, you will be picked up from the airport or hotel and start your way immediately along the Southern Coast. Our accommodation requires almost three hours of driving, but we will make many stops at different locations to break up the journey.

The first two stops are the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Seljalandsfoss has a path behind it that allows you to adventure behind the falls. Skógafoss is a wide and roaring waterfall with chances of rainbows :)

Next, we will visit: Sólheimasandur Plane crash. In 1973, a United States Navy DC plane crash-landed on the black sand beach. We will have plenty of time to take photos and wander around the site. The hike to the plane is about 40 minutes.

Time for dinner at a local Icelandic restaurant and to check-into our accommodation.

*Depending on time, conditions, and most importantly weather, we will go hunt for the Northern Lights before or after dinner. Fingers crossed for a light show!

Day 2

VIK TO VATNAJOKULL NATIONAL PARK

We start the day by visiting the Dyrhólaey lighthouse. Catch a view of endless miles of black sand, crash with the Atlantic Ocean.

From the light house we head towards the town Vik. We explore the small southern town and stop for a coffee break on the black sand beach.

Next, we visit the iconic church in Vik. Chance to take a few scenic photos.

Next, we visit Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. One of Icelands most famous locations.

Next, we visit The Yoda Cave! A hidden gem in southern Iceland. The opening of the cave looks exactly like a large Yoda, the legendary Jedi Master from the Star Wars movies.

Time for dinner at a local Icelandic restaurant and to check-into our accommodation.

*Depending on time, conditions, and most importantly weather, we will go hunt for the Northern Lights before or after dinner. Fingers crossed for a light show!

Day 3

VIK TO VATNAJOKULL NATIONAL PARK

We start the day driving from Vík to Vatnajokull National Park to start exploring the glacial area. We'll spend most of our day at the National Park doing small hikes and wandering around the face of the Glacier.

Next, we will be visiting one of my personal favorite locations in Iceland! The glacier lagoon known as Jökulsárlón. It’s a lagoon filled with drifting ICE chunks, and hearing the ice drift and crack is an ethereal experience.

From Jökulsárlón we head over to a beach only a minute away. This beach is no ordinary beach. The black sand beach right off of Jökulsárlón is where a lot of the Ice Chunks drifts and lands. It’s also known as Icelands Black Diamond Beach.

Time for dinner at a local Icelandic restaurant and to check-into our accommodation.

*Depending on time, conditions, and most importantly weather, we will go hunt for the Northern Lights before or after dinner. Fingers crossed for a light show!

Day 4

Final Day

If the weather is going right, we'll start our day going to the Hofell Hot Tubs. Time to relax and enjoy our time in the most scenic hot tub location. Mountain views and panoramic hills, it'll be a great way to start the day. You'll be able to dry and change at the location.

Next, we will visit and explore one of the most beautiful locations in Iceland,Vestrahorn. With stunning mountain views, you'll be on black sand while taking in the breathtaking views. Possible chance to encounter farm animals along the way. We will spend majority of our day here as it requires lots of time to explore.

Next, we have a long drive back towards the city capital Reykjavik.

We’ll celebrate our final day with dinner and a toast to our wonderful trip.

We’ll check into our accommodation and you’ll have an option to explore night life of Reykjavik or stay in and rest.
